Ccur through someone else s eyes This way of telling the story really helps to show how the characters

WERE DIFFERENT FROM ONE ANOTHER AND
different from one another and each character has a different view of what happens I also liked how the book was told through the perspective of kids and shows how the characters mature and change throughout the book Although I liked how the book was written through multiple narrators I would have preferred that each character has time in their narrations I also wished that characters like Wesley had time to develop and grow Overall I thought this book was great although I wished it had had character development for some of the characters I would recommend this book to children who like reading books that are light and fun I felt this story was entirely average Over all there was character development it had a decent plot and it was interesting how it was told from the different perspectives but I feel like it was a little disjointed and that things weren t properly wrapped up at the end I don t think this would be at the top of my recommendation list Or even on it at all really It was thoughroughlly average and if it weren t for a combination of Covid 19 safer at home and the fact this was a sunshine state oung reader award nominee I don t think i would have picked this bookfinished this book This is a snippet of life of a group of seventh graders The structure of the story loosely centered around an incident in school told by different students The voices from different characters carry the same tone and vernacular If one covers up the character s name at the beginning of the narrative it s hard to tell them apart It is a safe story because there is no foul language Nor Violence But Then How Realistic Is It That Among violence But then how realistic is it that among group of 12 ear olds no one swear. Ter Romanov the resident tech whiz who refuses to give them tips But Erin is furious at her formally slacker now traitor brother Meanwhile Erin’s friend Zoe is steering clear of Erin’s drama after realizing that she may be crushing on Ethan Then there’s Brian who has bigger things to worry about and finally loner kid Wesley who may know than others realize Told in the perspectives of multiple students discover what really happened on the day that one kid decided to take a stand against sitting down.

Debating I wanted to know of Ethan s thoughts and motivations instead of the other students The book is written in a fun way Each character shares their perspective of the incident where Ethan stands up in class Each person has a different opinio This novel Ethan Marcus Stands Up is a fictional book that is about a different opinio This novel Ethan Marcus Stands Up is a fictional book that is about boy named Ethan Marcus who is tired of sitting in class for hours and decides to stand up in class Marcus is sent to reflection or as other people would call it detention where the facility advisor recommends him to take part in the school Invention Day Competition The book also tells the story through other characters such as Erin Ethan s sister Zoe Erin s friend and his friend Brian I enjoyed reading about everyone s perspective on issues and how they treat them differently Although I liked how the book was written through multiple narrators I would have preferred that each character have time in their narrations Also some of the constant perspective switches were confusing Overall this book was great and it challenges the readers to step out Of The Comfort Zone And the comfort zone and and treat things differently than they normally do Story told from five different perspectives all 7th graders focused on one student s uest to solve a problem through invention and innovation The ideas are good if not perfectly executed I found the constant switching between perspectives confusing I wish that they had spent time at a stretch on each character That might have made the characters feel than mere caricatures Still could be good for the right kid high energy and slightly low reader age 9 12 A truly lovely and engaging middle grade novel All about the trials and tribulations of growing up among siblings classmates parents and challenges Loved the changing points of view rea. “A thoughtful next step for readers of Andrew Clements” BCCBMultiple points of view lead to multiple theories about what really happened after one kid turns a punishment into a protest in this hilarious novel from Michele Weber HurwitzPerennial good kid Ethan Marcus has just done the unthinkable refuse to stay seated during class He’s not causing a riot; he’s not wandering around; he’s just sick of sitting But the rules aren’t designed for Ethan and so he is sent to the principal’s office. ,
