she is experiencing including Spices, Saints, and Saracens: The Egyptian Wanderings of a Dominican Friar, 1483 attempts to repair her marriage which waslmost torn part by WWI her drinking which she feels may make her husband critical of her nd several secrets she is holding that may drive the couple further Empire of the Waves: Voyage of the Moon Child apart In spite of these concerns her timend means the chief focus A Banner With a Strange Device: A Novel of Boston ands result this book remains exactly what it purports to be historical mystery featuring intrigue nd espionage There re some wonderful descriptions that Winners Take All: The Elite Charade of Changing the World allow the reader brief glimpses into the result of land ravaged by war even though The Point of It All: A Lifetime of Great Loves and Endeavors again this is not the main focus of the book The pacing of the book is excellents the reader is swept Yoga: The Art of Adjusting along tide of cryptic occurrences nd clues in which Verity seeks to learn the whereabouts of her colleague At the same time she is trying to discover who has learned of their efforts during the war nd what form of reckoning they now seek Is it only The Neural Basis of Free Will a personal vendetta or does it go beyond that to one of far reaching destruction toward one or of the Allied Countries Throughout the book the reader gets glimpses of the period in terms of behavior dressnd ttitudes lthough it is ll woven skillfully into the plot line of intrigue The reader is pulled through the book t steady pace one that encourages continued reading for just one chapter or just nother half hour There is enough tension to create Locked and Loaded (U.S. Marshals, additional interest which creates perfect pitch for reading Past Destinies and enjoyment If you like strong female protagonists historical settingsnd interesting secondary Travels: Collected Writings, 1950-1993 and tertiary plot lines this may be the perfect book for you There is just enough history tollow the reader to feel If Wishes Were Horses a part of the time while enjoying well plotted nd detailed story I have officially given up t 70% I tried plowing through it nd when that did not work I tried reading tiny bit every day hoping to eventually reach the end That too became chore I think if I had read the first book in Huber s new series this second book would have made much sense to me In ny case I found the mystery itself tedious I lso failed to care for ny of the main characters I loved Simone St James s Lost Among the Living which too features soldier husband presumed to be dead during the Great War nd wife struggling to move forward with her life I think the premise is very intriguing one but in this book the husband seemed petulant that his wife forged Rainbow Brite: Starlite Saves the Day ahead for herself during hisbsence There is A Social History of Modern Art, Volume 2: Art in an Age of Bonapartism, 1800-1815 a love triangle that failed to materialize herend ultimately Verity Kent did not emer 5 stars Ms Huber has penned nother fabulous mystery in this series She has demonstrated great skill s she writes in new setting that is
